FAQs

What is Echinaforce Hot Drink used for?
+

A.Vogel Echinaforce Hot Drink is a Traditional Herbal Registration (THR) medicine used, based on long-standing traditional use, for the relief of symptoms associated with colds and flu-like illnesses. It combines Echinacea purpurea fresh herb tincture with Elderberry extract in a warming blackcurrant drink format, making it an accessible and comforting way to take the Echinaforce formula during the cold season.

How do I prepare Echinaforce Hot Drink?
+

Add approximately 6ml of the Echinaforce Hot Drink concentrate (using the measuring cup provided) to a mug of freshly boiled water that has been allowed to cool slightly. Stir well and drink while warm. It can be sweetened with a little honey if preferred. Avoid adding the concentrate to boiling water, as excessive heat may affect the herbal ingredients.

How many servings does the 100ml bottle provide?
+

The 100ml bottle provides approximately 16 servings at the standard 6ml dose. At the recommended frequency of up to 3 doses per day, this equates to approximately 5 days of full-dose use. At a lower frequency of once or twice daily, the bottle will last considerably longer throughout the cold season.

Why choose the Hot Drink over Echinaforce tablets or drops?
+

The Hot Drink format offers something the tablets and drops cannot: the comfort of a warm drink when you are feeling unwell. Many people find a hot, flavoured drink instinctively soothing when experiencing cold symptoms, and Echinaforce Hot Drink delivers the same herbal active as other Echinaforce formats in that more appealing form. It is particularly well suited to use in the evenings or at the first sign of cold symptoms.

Is Echinaforce Hot Drink suitable for vegetarians?
+

Yes. A.Vogel Echinaforce Hot Drink is suitable for vegetarians. Please check the current label for confirmed vegan suitability, as the product contains glycerol, whose source should be verified. If you follow a vegan diet, check the current label or speak to our Pearl Chemist Group team before purchasing.

Can I take Echinaforce Hot Drink alongside Echinaforce tablets or throat spray?
+

As both contain Echinacea purpurea, care should be taken not to significantly exceed the recommended daily dose of Echinacea when using multiple Echinaforce products simultaneously. If you wish to combine formats, consult your pharmacist who can advise on appropriate combined use based on the doses involved.

Can I take Echinaforce Hot Drink if I am pregnant?
+

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to conceive, consult your GP or midwife before using Echinaforce Hot Drink. While Echinacea has a long traditional history, clinical data on its safety during pregnancy is limited and individual medical advice is important.

Does Echinaforce Hot Drink contain sugar?
+

Please refer to the current product label for confirmed sugar and sweetener content. If you are following a low-sugar diet or managing your sugar intake for health reasons, check the nutritional information on the packaging or ask our Pearl Chemist Group team for clarification before purchasing.
