FAQs

What is Neem traditionally used for in skin preparations?
+

Neem (Azadirachta indica) has been used in Ayurvedic and traditional botanical skin preparations for thousands of years. It is one of the most established herbs in traditional topical skin care, with a long association with skin conditioning, soothing, and supporting the skin's natural comfort in the context of dry, sensitive, or reactive skin.

What is Heartsease and why is it included?
+

Heartsease (Viola tricolor), also known as Wild Pansy, is a European wildflower with a long tradition of use in herbal preparations for sensitive and reactive skin. In A.Vogel's Neem Cream, it provides a complementary European herbal perspective alongside the Neem active, bringing its gentle traditional skin properties to the formula.

Is this cream suitable for sensitive skin?
+

A.Vogel Neem Cream is formulated for dry and sensitive skin. However, individual skin sensitivities vary, and a patch test is always recommended before first full use — apply a small amount to the inner forearm, leave for 24 hours, and observe for any reaction before using more broadly.

Is this cream vegan?
+

Please check the current INCI ingredient list on the product label for confirmed vegan suitability. Neem itself is plant-derived, but the cream base may contain animal-derived ingredients depending on the formulation. Our Pearl Chemist Group team is happy to assist with any dietary or vegan queries.

How often should I apply Neem Cream?
+

A.Vogel Neem Cream can be applied 1–3 times daily to the affected area. Many people find applying after bathing or washing — when the skin is still slightly damp — most effective for comfort and absorption. Please refer to the current product label for the confirmed frequency recommendation.

Can I use Neem Cream on my face?
+

Please refer to the current product label for confirmed guidance on facial use. Some herbal skin creams are suitable for targeted facial application; others are intended for body skin only. If you have sensitive facial skin or a diagnosed skin condition, consult your GP or dermatologist before applying any herbal preparation to the face.

What is the difference between Neem Cream and Arnica Cream in the A.Vogel range?
+

The two creams address different skin needs with different botanicals. Arnica Cream is centred on Arnica montana and is traditionally associated with bruised, aching, and tired skin following physical activity or minor injury. Neem Cream is focused on dry, sensitive, and reactive skin comfort using Neem and Heartsease. The choice depends on the type of skin concern you are addressing.

Can I apply Neem Cream to broken skin?
+

No. A.Vogel Neem Cream must not be applied to broken, open, or damaged skin. It is intended for intact, unbroken skin only. If the area you wish to treat has broken skin, consult your pharmacist or GP for appropriate wound care advice.
