Healthcare over Christmas and New Year
There are a number of ways you can take care of physical and mental health over the Christmas and New Year period, including ensuring that you have sufficient medication to last you until the New Year. We’ve listed some local and national resources to help you over the festive season.
Medication
Each Christmas sees patients calling NHS 111 because they have run out of medication, leading to unnecessary worry for themselves and increasing pressure on busy urgent care and out-of-hours NHS services.
If you’re on medication, then please make sure that you have enough to last you over the Christmas and New Year period. Contact your local Pearl Chemist branch to arrange medication as soon as possible – remember, you can use our repeat prescription service to ensure that you never run out.
